The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars inaugural event will begin at Sydney Dragway today (Sunday) from 3pm after Saturday night’s original event was postponed due to rain.
The event featuring American NHRA Superstar Ron Capps was given every opportunity to run, however the Sydney Dragway team were unable to dry the track in time.
The Funny Cars featuring Capps, Phil Lamattina, Kiwi Willy White and many other top line racers – all in Aeroflow built Nitro powered Funny Cars will run in fine weather conditions at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm tonight, supported with a full entertainment program.
“We are committed to finishing the event in the best fashion possible and we believe that running the event today (Sunday) gives us that opportunity,” said Sydney Dragway CEO, Graham Elliott.
“Our management team would like to thank the fans and the competitors for their understanding, as we believe this offers the best possible result.”
It will take place at Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek.
