Proton Cars has joined Speedcafe as the website's newest platinum partner.
Since the Malaysian car manufacturer started doing business in Australia in 1995, it has been heavily involved in motor racing with a factory effort in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship which ran Aussie gun Chris Atkinson and West Australian-based Scotsman Alistair McRae.
Proton Cars Australia view the association with Speedcafe as providing a key plank in rejuvenating the brand.
“We are pleased to join Speedcafe and see it as an exciting way of promoting our product,” Proton Cars Australia P/L chief operating officer Kaye Amies said.
“Our parent company, PROTON in Malaysia, has a proud motorsport history, competing in rallies with the PROTON brand and racing, as the owners of Lotus.
“We see this partnership as a unique way of sharing our racing passion.
“The Speedcafe.com relationship is part of an exciting new marketing and media strategy we look forward to unveiling during the next 12 months.”
Proton Cars Australia will also act as the presenting partner of an innovative and interactive, fun-based application for fans. The exciting new app will be available soon.
Speedcafe.com marketing manager Leisa Emberson welcomed Proton Cars to Australia's premier motor racing website along with existing brands including Castrol, IRWIN Tools, Armor All, Dunlop, Finance Ezi, Coates Hire, Pirtek and CrimSafe.
“We are excited to have Proton Cars Australia as a Platinum Partner,” Ms Emberson said.
“We look forward to working with Proton Cars Australia to enhance and leverage the brand with our readers, viewers, Platinum Partner group, subscribers and social media network.”
