The long-awaited comeback for Richie Stanaway has failed to materialise at the Australian Carrera Cup round at Albert Park.
Stanaway was to have driven a Porsche for Team Kiwi Racing however Speedcafe.com understands that a paperwork issue has prevented him from competing.
The talented Kiwi who is returning after his accident at Spa last June when he fractured two vertebrae did not run in the practice and qualifying sessions and is not expected to make an appearance on track this weekend at the Australian Grand Prix meeting.
Team Kiwi Racing was to field a second car for Stanaway alongside Queenslander Shae Davies who finished sixth in qualifying behind polesitter Nick Percat in the Coates Hire Porsche.
