At the penultimate round, racing took place on Friday and Saturday, October 13-14. Highlight of the afternoon and night racing program were the TA2 Muscle Cars. Regularly seen in front-wheel-drive cars, Supercheap TCR Australia’s Jordan Cox drove Mark Crutcher’s #4 Mustang to four victories. He took the round ahead of fellow Mustang drivers Tom Hayman (#30) and points leader Dylan Thomas.
The Yellow Express RX8 Cup Series still has two rounds to go after Justin Barnes (#44) took out this one. He won three of the four races and took the overall honours ahead of Justin Lewis (#50) and Jack Pennacchia (#4).
Legends Car Australia took in five races with reigning title holder Shane Tate (#1) victorious in four of them. He won the round ahead of Brendon Hourigan (#28) and Ryan Pring (#333) while fourth placed Bruce Duckworth (#160) was the other race winner.
Excels featured prominently where Ryan O’Sullivan (#74) won two races and the round ahead of Jaylyn Robotham (#54) and Tyler Collins (#77) who took out the other two encounters. Venturing interstate from Queensland were Australian Trans Am. Ian Palmer (#20 Pontiac Firebird) won three of the four races but was a retirement in the other. The consistent Sean English in his #10 Ford Mustang was the overall winner.
Corey Gillet was the best in Super TT in his #27 Nissan/Chev ahead of Brent Edwards (#18 Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo) and in Stock Cars, Scott Nind came back from a first race disqualification to win the rest in his #34 NASCAR Ford Mustang.
