McLaughlin, Johnson title winners on display

Championship winning cars belonging to Scott McLaughlin and Steven Johnson have been put on display at DJR Team Penske’s workshop.

The Supercars championship winning #17 Ford Falcon driven by McLaughlin returned to Shell V-Power Racing’s base last week after featuring at the end of season championship Gala in Sydney.

Now it has been joined by the #17 Team Johnson Touring Car Masters Ford Mustang that Steven Johnson drove to this year’s title.

Collectively the cars, which will be on display until the workshop closes for Christmas, have combined to claim 19 pole positions, 15 race wins and two titles this year.

McLaughlin has confirmed the #17 will remain on his car next season as he and the team upgrade to the new Mustang, which is currently undergoing Supercars official homologation tests.

Meanwhile, Johnson is looking to debut a Ford XD Falcon in next year’s Touring Car Masters, although the squad is unsure if the car will make the Superloop Adelaide 500 opener from February 28- March 3.
