MEDIA RELEASE: V8 Supercars has pledged its commitment to the Ipswich community for the fourth year running by partnering with the Ipswich Hospital Foundation as the official charity of the upcoming Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint.
V8 Supercars gives generous support to the Foundation which helps promote healthy lifestyles to local residents in an effort to make Ipswich the healthiest community in Australia.
V8 Supercars’ Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint Event Manager, Phil Shaw, said the company is proud to be supporting a charity that directly benefits the Ipswich region.
“It is important for us to give back to the communities that welcome the V8 Supercars events with open arms each year,” he said.
“The Ipswich Hospital Foundation does an incredible job supporting the community’s health services and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We urge motorsport lovers coming along to the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint to give generously to this fantastic cause.”
The Ipswich Hospital Foundation provides the community with information and support on how to live a more active lifestyle, coupled with medical equipment and healthy lifestyle programs. Through the support of the V8 Supercars, the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint is able to give back to local residents.
The V8 Supercars will also be attending the Ipswich Hospital Foundation’s Park 2 Park event this Sunday 26 July to help raise funds and awareness.
Ipswich Hospital Foundation Executive Officer Tom Yates said he is thrilled to join forces with the V8 Supercars for another year.
“It is through the generous backing of organisations such as V8 Supercars that the Ipswich Hospital Foundation can continue its vital work within the local community,” he said.
V8 Supercars will be supporting the Foundation with activation space at the event, race day tickets and a number of money-can’t-buy prizes such as a framed 2015 poster signed by the drivers and an exclusive grid walk experience.
Ipswich can enjoy all the excitement of the race at Queensway Raceway from 31 July – 2 August.
