Parker enjoying strong season

What began as an encouraging start to the 2018-19 season has now progressed into proven results for Adam Parker, who recorded his first Legend Car feature-race win of the season last Saturday night at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.Parker Enjoying Strong Season

Heading into this season with some newfound confidence in himself when it comes to trusting his own setup decisions, the 32-year-old racer has consistently been in front-running contention, but it wasn’t until last Saturday night that he was able to convert his competitiveness into a feature-race win.

Wasting no time in making his way into the lead from his third-place starting position, Parker then became embroiled in a battle for position with Nathan Camilleri throughout the middle stages of the 20-lap distance, before managing to pip his rival for good to control the pace out in front for the remaining eight laps and claim the win.

“It’s been a strong start to the season for me, but it’s great to get our first feature-race win on the board,” commented the pilot of the NSW # 38 Ace Marine Repairs / Locker Law Solicitors & Attorneys supported Legend Car.

“The fact that I’ve been trusting myself a bit more with car setup is really starting to pay off and I’m feeling more and more comfortable in the car, which is evident in last Saturday night’s results. I’ve definitely got more confidence in myself as a driver, so that’s something I’ll continue to focus on as we head towards the Australian Title later this season.”

The Gwandalan, NSW-based driver has finished within the top five in most of his outings so far this season, which has put him in good stead in his quest to challenge for the Valvoline Raceway Track Championship.

“This win has definitely come at the right time for us with a big couple of months ahead, so we’re hoping we can keep up this momentum and hopefully pick up some more wins,” added Parker, who earlier this season recorded a fourth-place finish in the Queensland Title at Maryborough Speedway.

Throughout the remainder of the season, Parker plans to contest the NSW Title at Goulburn Speedway on March 23, along with the Australian Title at Valvoline Raceway on April 27. Parker will be back in action this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, where he is chasing back-to-back feature-race wins.

Parker would like to thank his 2018-19 season sponsors: Ace Marine Repairs, Locker Law Solicitors & Attorneys, G Force Performance Centre, Sportcycles Dyno Tune & Performance Centre, Scorpion Racewear, 321 Signs, and Crashy’s Photos. Special thanks must go out to his partner (Chrissy) and Shane Anderson.
