Korean tyre giant Kumho has extended its control tyre supply deal with the Formula 3 Australian Drivers' Championship for a further three seasons.
The company, which has been the Australian F3 control tyre supplier since 2005, will also back a young driver scheme titled the Kumho Cup from next season.
Contested over four rounds of the 2014 championship, those running 2002-2004 generation cars will be eligible, receiving free round entry.
The winner will score half-price tyres for the following season if they commit to the entire championship.
It is hoped that the plan will bring state-level competitors into the national competition.
The Cup will sit alongside the championship's existing Forpark Scholarship, which awards $50,000 of funding to a National Class competitor looking to step up to the following season's Championship Class.
Tim Macrow currently leads the Formula 3 Australian Drivers' Championship standings ahead of Team BRM team-mate John Magro with one round remaining.
