A new Sydney-based team has joined the Australia's Formula 3 ranks.
Brothers Adam and Nathan Gotch have formed AGI Sport, with Nathan to drive the Dallara.
The team, backed by performance parts outlet Snake Racing, plans to compete in two rounds of the F3 Australian Drivers Championship, plus five New South Wales state events.
The team's first national event is slated to be at Mount Panorama next month when the championship makes its debut at the famous Bathurst circuit.
Adam Gotch will act as the team manager, having worked extensively in international motorsport including 11 years internationally. He says that he is looking forward to getting his team on track.
“AGI Sport is proud to be joining the Australian Formula 3 Championship in 2012 and beyond,” he said.
“It's a series that's obviously growing in this country and one which I've been following for many years. Having enjoyed championship success with the British Formula 3 Championship in the past, it's a category that holds fond memories for me and AGI SPORT is very much looking forward to being part of the Australian F3 Series.”
In other Formula 3 news, the much-anticipated Mygale chassis set to make its Australian debut at Symmons Plains this weekend. Queensland businessman Jon Mills has confirmed his entry of his ex-British F3, Mercedes Benz-powered Mygale M-07.
It will be the first time that a chassis other than a Dallara has raced in the championship's 12 year history.
Mills is one of 12 F3 cars entered for the championship that is currently being led by Clipsal 500 winner James Winslow.
