Anglomoil enters Toyota 86 racing

Anglomoil Enters Toyota 86 Racing.MEDIA RELEASE: Anglomoil, the 40-year old privately owned Australian lubricants manufacturer, has officially become part of the Toyota 86 Race Series at the Sydney round of the championship.

Three drivers have started using Anglomoil products in their cars: Brad Glasson (Think Fire Racing), Lachlan Deagle (Deagle Motor Sport) and Trent Grubel (X Force/Xen Garage).

The trio had very different experiences over the three races at Sydney Motorsport Park. Brad’s engine cut out intermittently in qualifying and race one (it was later found to be the kill switch spiking the fuel management system), but didn’t stop him overtaking 18 cars in races two and three.

Lachlan, one of just two drivers in the series without any prior motor sport experience, was very happy with his highest result of 22nd place.

Trent set the third fastest time of the day in qualifying and was all set for a podium finish in race one but had to take quick evasive action when a car ‘lost it’ in front of him. His fight back through the field to 9th was brilliant. The former Formula Ford champion then set third fastest lap times in races two and three.

Anglomoil lubricants have been used in motor sport since the Seventies when founder Bill Croasdale raced Minis and they are currently actively involved – along with the Toyotas – with Tilley Racing in the Touring Car Masters and Terry Lawlor’s immaculate ex-Dick Johnson Mustang in the Australian Touring Car Championship.
