Leading Legend Car racer Glen Arnold is no doubt facing a steep learning curve in the upcoming 2018-19 season as he makes the transition into the Speedcar class.

Having made a name for himself in Legend Cars over the past four seasons, not only in Australia but also in America where he became the only Australian driver ever to win both the 2017 INEX Nationals in North Dakota and the Race of Champions, the current and two-time Australian Champion is wanting to go to another level by stepping into one of the country’s leading classes.

After purchasing a Mopar-powered Spike car from Queenslander Anthony Chaffey, which will be run as the Keane Air Conditioning supported NSW # 43 car this season, Arnold and his team have been deep in preparation for their upcoming campaign, making no assumptions that this transition will be an easy one.

With two practice sessions now under his belt at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway, Arnold, from Shoalhaven Heads on the South Coast of NSW, is excited about his new challenge.

“I’m really looking forward to stepping into the Speedcar class and none of this would have been possible without the wonderful support of my team and all of our sponsors,” the 23-year-old racer enthused.

“The goal for the team is to pick up as much experience and knowledge as we can during the season so we can work towards hopefully being a consistent top-10 contender.”

Planning to contest the full Valvoline Raceway schedule, Arnold will also participate in the South Australian and Victorian Titles, which are set to take place on January 4 at Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway and January 6 at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway respectively.

Arnold’s season is set to get underway this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, where he is hoping to make a pleasing Speedcar debut.

In the upcoming 2018-19 season, Arnold is proudly supported by the following sponsors: Keane Air Conditioning, MPR Signs, AA Panel Craft, Jobson Motorsport, and Bluey Brushstrokes. Special thanks go to his dad (Homer), Scott Keane, Keith Keane, and his fellow racers Darren Jenkins and Brett Morris.

Arnold and his team are currently looking for new marketing opportunities. To find out more and obtain a copy of the team’s marketing proposal please contact Arnold on 0400 930 755.
