Australia’s newest Sprintcar team Bohud Racing has recently announced the stepping down of their current team driver Mark Blyton.
Following four race meetings together with the Bohud Racing team, Blyton for the time being will not be the driver of the NS # 14 ARRMA Australia / Illawarra Truck Repairs & Spares supported Triple X car.
“The team and I earlier this week made the amicable decision for me to step out of the driver’s seat, so that we can both focus on our next moves,” Blyton stated.
“Scott (Jones) and the team run a first-class operation and I’d like to thank them all for the opportunity to run for them and I wish them well going forward.”
Bohud Racing owner Scott Jones was very thankful for Blyton’s assistance while they set up their new team.
“Mark is someone who we consider a family friend, and he will always be welcomed in our team’s transporter, and I’m also not ruling out him returning to the driver’s seat down the track,” he said.
“Although things haven’t quite worked out the way either of us wanted so far this season, we would like to wish him all the very best for the future and thank him for being a part of our team.”
Following this announcement, Bohud Racing will now welcome back Michael Stewart to the driver’s seat of the NS # 14 ARRMA Australia / Illawarra Truck Repairs & Spares backed Triple X car.
Stewart, who is currently Australia’s form Speedcar driver, substituted at the 11th hour for Blyton last month, but the Canberra, ACT-based racer is set to now join the team for the rest of the current season, starting with their next outing on the Saturday night of December 17 at Eastern Creek Speedway.
