Trent Young has continued his winning form, taking victory in Race 2 of the Aussie Racing Cars at Surfers Paradise today.
Young and Simon Smith traded the top spot on a number of occasions during the race, with Young coming out on top in a hard-fought battle.
Yesterday's pole-sitter Kyle Clews made a horror start and slipped well down the order before making a stunning comeback to third place.
Erebus Motorsport driver Josh Hunt steered his Toyota Aurion-bodied car to a weekend best of fourth ahead of Darren Chamberlin and Darrin Masini.
Travis Edwards endured a mixed race, leading the first lap until he was shuffled back through the top 10. He eventually finished seventh ahead of Maurice Masini, Grant Ludbey and Jake Fouracre rounded out the top 10.
Jack Perkins started from the rear of the grid and was making steady progress through the field until a mechanical failure sent him into the wall at the Turn 2 chicane.
The final Aussie Racing Cars event will be held at midday tomorrow.
