Big season ahead for Firth Motorsport

With the 2019-20 season start fast approaching, Firth Motorsport team drivers and father and daughter duo Andrew and Taylah Firth have plenty to look forward to as they prepare to launch what is no doubt going to be one of their biggest campaigns yet. Big Season Ahead for Firth Motorsport

Heading into what will be his seventh season in the V8 Dirt Modifieds class, Firth will be riding a wave of confidence as he takes to the track aboard his 358ci powered NSW # 51 Penrite backed Bicknell car following what was a largely positive season that saw him amass a trio of feature-race victories at his home track, while Taylah will be looking to continue building on her experience.

Planning to contest each of the V8 Dirt Modified outings on home soil at Grafton Speedway, Firth will also be venturing north, having added the full Queensland calendar at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway and Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway to his schedule, in addition to the Australian Championship which is set to take place at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.

Growing in confidence with each race meeting, the 2019-20 season for Taylah will see her increase last season’s schedule of half a dozen shows, also participating in each outing at Grafton Speedway and contesting selected events throughout Queensland.

“This season is certainly going to be a big one for us and we’re looking very forward to getting it underway,” commented the Grafton, NSW local, who, along with Taylah, has joined the Queensland V8 Dirt Modified club for the season ahead.

“Both Taylah and myself showed solid speed on numerous occasions last season, so we’re really wanting to build on that throughout this season and improve on our consistency, while also getting some laps under our belts at the two Queensland tracks.

“It’s definitely not going to be easy to remain competitive against the Queenslanders, but we’re excited for the challenge of racing at venues and against drivers we’re not as familiar with.”

While it’s going to be a busy season for Firth on the track, off-track developments will also see him sponsor the NSW Title through his Grafton-based business Hession’s Auto Parts, which has recently opened its second store in Coffs Harbour, along with being the naming rights sponsor for Grafton Speedway for the third season running.

The first hit out for the Firth Motorsport team will be on the Saturday night of October 5 at Hession’s Auto Parts Grafton Speedway.

Firth Motorsport would like to thank their 2019-20 season sponsors: Penrite, Grafton City Batteries, Hession’s Auto Parts, North Coast Engines, Speedway Stickers, Cleavers Mechanical Repairs, and Computer Troubleshooters.
