A field of forty-four cars have nominated for the twelfth round of the Aussie Forklift Repairs and Fruitwheels Refrigerated Transport NSW Wingless Sprints Club Championship, this Saturday night, March 7 at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.

Going into this event, the chase for the title could not be any tighter and the club championship looks certain to go down to the wire at season’s end.

Leading the nomination list is current club championship leader Nathan Dicker who holds a slight two point advantage over second placed Mark Blyton.

Jeff Thomas is just a mere two points further back in third followed by Brian Briton, Jason Bates, Adam Hourigan, Mikaela Blyton, Sean Dicker, Marshall Blyton and Nikki Briton rounds out the top ten.

Such is the closeness of the competition in season 2014/15, after nine completed rounds, just 97 points separate Nathan Dicker and ninth placed Marshall Blyton. Nikki Briton isn’t out of contention either, 163 points off the lead.

There have also been some additions to the calendar with three more shows added to the schedule.

There will be a two night show on the ANZAC Day weekend held at Morris Park Speedway, Dubbo with the Friday night, April 24, being designated a club show and therefore not counting towards points for the Club Championship.

Saturday night, April 25, will be the penultimate round of the club championship before it all comes to an exciting conclusion on Saturday, May 2 at Valvoline Raceway.

The Wingless Sprints in NSW have never been so competitive and this season, we have witnessed perhaps the best racing in the category’s short history. It will go down to the final round and after the racing this season, it shouldn’t be any other way.

Racing this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway kicks off at 6pm.

Revised NSW Wingless Sprints Schedule:

Saturday, March 7 – Valvoline Raceway

Saturday, March 21 – Gunnedah Speedway

Saturday, April 11 – Narrabri Speedway

Friday, April 24 – Dubbo Speedway (Non-Club Championship)

Saturday, April 25 – Dubbo Speedway

Saturday, May 2 – Valvoline Raceway

The NSW Wingless Sprints would like to acknowledge Aussie Forklift Repairs and Fruitwheels

Refrigerated Transport for their support of the 2014/15 Club Championship.
