The launch of Krikke Motorsport’s car design is always highly-anticipated by fans prior to the team making their season debut, and the 2018-19 season’s livery certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Keeping with last season’s black, white and red colour scheme, the Maxim machine once again lends itself to the logos of the team’s major sponsors Transport Equipment Hire and Pumpa Manufacturing, packing an added punch by virtue of some new and improved design elements.
One of the most talked about topics since the announcement of Krikke Motorsport’s acquisition of new team driver and current Australian Champion Kerry Madsen has been whether or not the team will decide to run Aus # 1 on their car for the duration of the season.
While the launch of their new livery reveals that the Bunbury, WA-based team will continue tradition by running their trademark WA # 2, they haven’t disregarded Madsen’s champion status, incorporating the sought after number into their design.
“We couldn’t be happier with how the car has turned out and we’re excited to get the new season underway,” expressed Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke.
“Craig at Skwid Signs continues to raise the bar with his designs and this season he’s excelled once again, taking a slightly more abstract approach and adding some colour contrast with the red.
“One thing we’re particularly happy with is the number. While we respect that Kerry is the current Australian Champion, the WA # 2 is synonymous with our team and it didn’t feel right not to run it. In saying that, we wanted to work the Aus # 1 into our number somehow and Craig has nailed it!
“Dylan (Buswell, crew chief) has also been working on the car all winter, which really shows. He’s done an awesome job of putting the car together and we’ve never been better prepared.”
In addition to their car design, Krikke Motorsport is pleased to announce their new range of 2018-19 season team and Madsen merchandise, which includes hoodies ($50), hats ($30), t-shirts ($30) and raglan three-quarter sleeve shirts ($40).
