MotoGP organisers Dorna Sports have endorsed top Australian motorcycle academy motoDNA.
Run by Irishman Mark McVeigh, motoDNA is a state-of-the-art high performance motorcycle education program which aims to help develop young aspiring racers.
Through the knowledge of expert coaches, including former MotoGP rider Chris Vermuelen, the academy has assisted riders in making the jump onto the international scene in Moto3, Moto2 and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
Most recently at the Sepang meeting of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup a total of 15 riders on the grid had passed through the motoDNA junior development program.
“The motoDNA ethos is to deliver skills and inspiration, enabling riders to realise their motorcycling dreams,” said motoDNA CEO McVeigh.
“This is especially important with our juniors, and exposure to the MotoGP paddock, riders, teams and engineers, which strengthens their motivation to compete at the highest level. Its an honour to receive accreditation from Dorna as we expand our program in the Asia Pacific region.”
Dorna Sports Managing Director Javier Alonso believes the motoDNA academy will become a crucial stepping stone for young riders with future ambitions of racing in MotoGP.
“We are very happy to endorse the motoDNA Academy as one of the racing projects recognised for its support to young riders,” said Alonso.
“We believe the racing programme that motoDNA runs in Australia, which now will also benefit from the assistance of Alberto Puig, is the best way to secure a successful route to the feeder series for the MotoGP World Championship.
“The collaboration between motoDNA and Alberto Puig, who has a proven eye for spotting talented riders, will ensure the project to be a great success.”
