Marc VDS Racing will field a factory backed Honda for British rider Scott Redding in MotoGP's premier class next season.
The team, who had been linked to running the works-specification Honda for sometime, confirmed the announcement via Twitter following Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix.
Rising Australian star Jack Miller had been linked to a Honda backed MotoGP ride but following this announcement it appears he may be forced to wait for his premier class opportunity.
The Townsville teenager, who leads the Moto3 standings by nine points, is yet to reveal his 2015 plans.
Marc VDS' promotion to motorcycle racing's top tier arrives shortly after the Gresini squad, who had been fielding the Honda entry, switched allegiance to run the all new factory Aprilia outfit in a four year deal, which begins next season.
It is understood a funding shortfall ended negotiations to continue with Honda for next season.
Marc VDS has already recruited MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez's brother Alex to join Tito Rabat for its 2015 Moto2 campaign.
