Flatout Karts and Sam Dicker Motorsport out of Western Australia travelled to the open round of the Australian Kart Championship with their three cadet 12 drivers in Noah Lisle, Cooper Lisle and Sachen Smith. With and over subscribed class of seventy three cadet 12 drivers it was going to be a tough weekend for all three drivers.

Practice was split in two divisions and all three drivers were able to run around the top fifteen in their respected sessions throughout the day before qualifying. Sachen Smith was the best of the team in the class qualifying a respectable position 21 in the massive field putting him just outside the top ten for his split heats. Noah Lisle was able to also qualify inside the top thirty with a good qualifying result of position 28 put himself in a top fifteen starting spot for the split heats while Cooper Lisle struggled out of the three drivers qualifying in position 58 with plenty of work to do in the heats.

Heat 1 was a rough introduction for the three drivers with both Sachen Smith and Noah Lisle not finishing their opening heat with Cooper Stapleton the best of the three down in position 24 in his respected heat 1 race. Heat 2 was a better affair for the team as all three drivers were able to finish the race with Noah Lisle in position 20, Sachen Smith in position 21 and Cooper Lisle coming home in position 24 with all three drivers improving from their heat 1 result. In heat three Noah Lisle and Sachen Smith both showed their class and pace by finishing top ten in their respective heat races. Noah Lisle coming home in position 8 and Smith in position 9 while Cooper Lisle continued to improve finishing in position 20 making up more positions from his opening heat result. In heat four Sachen Smith continued his strong form by being able to grab another top fifteen position grabbing more points to his championship assault. Noah Lisle was also able to grab a top fifteen position in his final heat race while Cooper Lisle finished in position 32.

Both Noah Lisle and Sachen Smith were able to make the starting grid for the final in position 36 and 37 respectfully but unfortunately Cooper Lisle missed the chance being in position fifty in the order. Lisle and Smith both had strong finals moving forward to position 31 and 34.

Flat Out Kart manager Greg Dicker were both happy with the improvement of all three drivers throughout the weekend. “It was a great fun and learning experience for our three guys” Dicker noted. “All three boys improved throughout the weekend and had good results to go with it. Sam Dicker noting a top ten for two of the drivers was a highlight. “To have Sachen and Noah both finish in the top ten in one of their heats was the highlights and shows we can mix it with the best” Flat Out Karts and Sam Dicker will be running again at the next round of Australian Kart Championship where they look to continue to build.
