Italian firm Pramac has become the title sponsor of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
The global leader in the production of portable generators has inked a one-year deal with Dorna Sports to secure the naming rights to Australian round of the MotoGP world championship held from October 16-18.
Pramac has been a long time supporter of MotoGP with the company heavily involved in the Pramac Ducati Racing Team since 2002.
“We are delighted to announce this one-year deal that sees Pramac as the title sponsors for the 2015 Australian GP,” said Dorna Sports Commercial Director Pau Serracanta.
“Pramac have been heavily involved with the MotoGP World Championship with Pramac Racing since 2002, and this agreement will provide an excellent platform for them to reach a truly global audience, which not only highlights the companies ambition, but also reflects the stature of their brand around the world.”
Pramac will take over the naming rights from Swiss watch company Tissot, who sponsored the previous two editions of the event.
