Two American Sprintcar aces will take on Australia’s best at the Toowoomba Hi-Tec Oils Speedway round of the World Series Sprintcars on Tuesday.
Californian Carson Macedo and Pennsylvania’s Logan Schuchart are set to take on Iowa based two-time national champion Kerry Madsen, previous World Series champions Brooke Tatnell and James McFadden along with reigning champion Jamie Veal.
“This is potentially the most stout field of Sprintcar talent Toowoomba has ever seen,” Ben Bishop, Toowoomba Speedway events manager, said.
“Kerry is the reigning Australian Champion and it’s been at least six years since he raced in Toowoomba.
“He is really excited about coming back to see how much the venue has changed and now that it is high banked, it’s very similar to a race track in Peveley, Missouri where he won the famous Ironman 55 race in 2014, so this sort of race track will suit him perfectly.”
“Just to see Kerry circulate around here would be worth the price of admission alone.
