The multi-million dollar Brabham BT62 will make its highly anticipated racing debut this year as the marque continues to assess its future FIA World Endurance Championship program.
Brabham Automotive has confirmed an example of the $1.8 million Australian made V8 powered 700 horsepower weapon will contest its first race at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit from November 9-10.
Few details have been revealed but the car will line up on the grid for the final round ‘into the night’ twilight finale for the Britcar Endurance series.
Drivers are yet to be confirmed although the plan to contest an invitational race has been borne out of the want from Brabham customers.
A racing return for Brabham will see the marque compete in contemporary motorsport for the first time since 1992.
The race will prove an important moment for the BT62 which is expected to race in WEC in 2022.
The news arrives as part of the marque’s announcement revealing a tie-up with tyre manufacturer Goodyear.
