Elliott embarks on BSB round 2 down South

Set to be held at the world-famous Brands Hatch Indy circuit, and only two weeks after the season opener commenced, Superstock 1000 rookie Brayden Elliott will make his way south of his home in Derby for Round 2 of the British Superbike Championship this Easter long weekend.

Running over four days Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday Elliott, much like round one, will compete in two practice sessions, qualifying, one 38 lap endurance race, and one 24 lap race, to conclude the weekend’s events.

After a successful season opener, with lots of improvements made, Elliott is excited about jumping back on the bike after a short break he explains, “I am really excited to be racing at Brands Hatch Indy. Not only is it a world class circuit but it is nothing like I have ever ridden in Australia.”

“The elevation changes are crazy, and the off camber first corner definitely gives you a surge of adrenaline!

“I believe the track this weekend will suit me really well as it is tight, technical and short. Having the opportunity to ride a street bike around the circuit a few weeks ago already provides some track knowledge to help learn the technical layout. I am feeling really confident heading into this weekend’s race meeting and look forward to continue working toward my goals.

“I am once again eager to be on track learning and adapting to the competitiveness of the British Championship. I feel we showed great potential at the opening round after qualifying third and a top ten finish however a DNF in the final race definitely wasn’t how I wanted to finish the weekend, but it has made me hungrier to get back out there and keep improving,” Elliott finished.

With the potential to put even more important championship points on the board, Elliott will turn plenty of laps as the British crowd’s flock to Brands Hatch Indy for the second instalment of the British Superstock 1000 Championship.
