TeamVodafone will compete with giant moustaches on the bonnets of its two Holden Commodores for the next two events of the V8 Supercars Championship Series.
To support Vodafone’s massive commitment to the popular men’s charity drive ‘Movember,’ the cars of Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes will wear the moustaches at this weekend’s event at Symmons Plains and next week’s Sandown race.
Movember is a moustache-growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men’s health.
TeamVodafone’s commercial manager Peter Jamieson said that the champion team was proud to support the worthy cause.
“We’re doing it because Vodafone is very passionate about the cause, and we’ll run the bonnet look here at Symmons and at Sandown as well,” Jamieson said.
“At the last count, Vodadone was the second or third highest corporate organisation in Australia raising money for Movember. They take it very seriously.
“Our account manager Steve Saunders raised $4000 personally, and a couple of years ago, TeamVodafone was the third highest overall in Australia for groups. We generated $50,000 ourselves.
“It’s a great cause and something we’re proud to get behind.”
