CAMS CEO Graham Fountain hopes that a rift between CAMS’s national board and Victoria’s state council can be resolved to avoid a breakaway administration group.
At a recent meeting, the Victorian Sport and Club Development Council moved for a full vote of no confidence in the CAMS board.
The Victorian Sport and Club Development Council outlined a list of what they believed were failures within the CAMS ranks and called for a total spill of the entire CAMS board.
CAMS has since established a representative task force to operate within Victoria to explore and address the issues of concern to Victorian clubs.
CAMS CEO Graham Fountain said that he is confident that a resolution will come in time.
“The Victorian Sport and Club Development Council has been meeting in the last month or so to express its disquiet with the board and a number of issues of service delivery with CAMS,” Fountain said.

“I’m very confident that we’ll be able to work through the issues with the membership. There have been some growing pains associated with a significant change program but we’re working very hard to launch into next year.
“The board, management and myself are absolutely committed to working with the Victorian people, as we are with everyone from around Australia, to make CAMS a better place. The task force is an appropriate forum for that to occur.”
