The schism which rocked Australian drag racing appears to be fixed with the ANDRA board and the country’s three major venues reaching common ground.
A meeting has seen ANDRA reach an in-principal agreement with Willowbank Raceway, the Perth Motorplex and Sydney Dragway.
A key outcome is that Australian Professional Drag Racing Ltd will be empowered to promote professional ANDRA Championships.
A brief statement says the Sportsman series will remain under Summit sponsorship and will run at all major venues moving forward.
All rounds of both series will be ANDRA sanctioned.
The smoothing over of differences comes just over a month after the three venues had announced a breakaway nine-event 2015/2016 schedule after track owners became dismayed at the way ANDRA was taking the sport.
