The Holden Racing Team's support for the ANZAC Appeal continues into a third year, with its Commodores set to sport a one-off livery at Symmons Plains.
Running the ANZAC branding at Pukekohe in each of the last two seasons, the activation switches to Tasmania this year in the lead-up to the April 25 commemorations.
In addition to the ANZAC Appeal Rising Sun replacing the HRT logo on the door of the cars, ‘ANZAC Centenary, April 25, 2015' branding adorns the rear wing.
“The Holden Racing Team's annual ANZAC tribute has become a very special part of Holden's motorsport activities and in this, the 100th year since the Gallipoli landings, it makes us even more proud,” said Holden Motorsport manager Simon McNamara.
“As a company, Holden is privileged to be able to continue supporting the ANZAC tradition, honouring those that have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, while also helping raise awareness to the valuable work of the RSL.”
HRT driver James Courtney heads to Symmons Plains leading the championship after winning the season opening Clipsal 500 Adelaide, while team-mate Garth Tander sits third.
