Supercars is seeking tenders for the supply of control bodywork for Gen3.
A total of 31 parts are listed by Supercars, including items such as the roof, boot, doors, quarter panels, mirrors, front and rear bars, front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing elements. Intermediate panels are also listed including the A-, B-, and C-pillar.
The category has already tendered for a control wheel, brakes package, pedal box, fuel system, and electrics and electronics.
As with its previously released tenders, the supply period will commence in 2021 for a period of five years.
Supercars is expecting to receive quotes by March 3 with a selection date slated for March 19, though dates are at the discretion of the category.
Applicants can tender for individual manufacturer models or both, being the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro.
The tender document reads: “The tenderer can opt to tender for the complete assembly of each or both manufacturers model or any element of it; however, tendering for the assembly of both manufacturers may be more attractive to Supercars.
“The tenderer may elect to tender to supply any one or more of the components and this will be considered by Supercars.”
Prototype components sufficient for two Supercars should be supplied by May 3.
The next generation Supercars is set to be lower and wider, with a chassis designed to fit a greater breadth of silhouettes.
Push-to-pass has been earmarked among the possibilities as well as the introduction of hybrid technology.
Gen3 is set to make its on-track debut mid-way through 2021.
