Randy de Puniet will lead the Suzuki Test Team at an official multi-day MotoGP test at Catalunya this week.
Suzuki is set to return to the MotoGP ranks next year with De Puniet aboard its development bike after tests in Japan and Australia.
Ducati will also test upgrades to the Desmosedici with test rider Michele Pirro joining full-timers Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso.
Movistar Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi and team-mate Jorge Lorenzo are expected to focus on corner entry and braking points ahead of the team moving to a private test at Aragon later in the week.
MotoGP rookies Pol Espargaro, Scott Redding and Broc Parkes will capitalise on the test to carry out set-up work.
Colin Edwards and Aleix Espargaro will shakedown a new chassis as the Forward Racing team search for more consistency.
Marc Marquez, who has maintained an unbeaten record from the seven races this season, and his team-mate Dani Pedrosa will also be in attendance to consolidate their advantage on the Repsol Honda.
