Aaron Seton is set to contest the remaining rounds of the Touring Car Masters season behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang.

The son of two-time Australian Touring Car Champion Glenn Seton has been enlisted to pilot Leo Tobin’s 1969 Mustang from the next round at Winton Motor Raceway (May 24-26).

Seton is set to dovetail the TCM drives alongside his commitments in the TA2 Muscle Car Series which the 20-year-old currently sits atop of the standings.

A trip to Winton will mark a belated debut in TCM after a plan to take over the Mustang his father drove in the category fell through for 2017.

“I’m real excited about it,” Seton told Speedcafe.com.

“I got the chance to drive dad’s Mustang at the start of 2017 and I really enjoyed driving that.  

“I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel and seeing what I can do. 

“The more variety of cars that you can get the chance to drive the better. Each time you sort of get behind the wheel you gain more experience and learn and develop.

“I’m very fortunate to have this opportunity from Leo Tobin.”

Prior to Winton, Seton is set to complete a test day at Queensland Raceway in the Tobin Mustang, which last competed in TCM at this year’s Superloop Adelaide 500 in March.
