A new book charting the life of entrepreneur and motorsport identity Tony Quinn will be launched next month.
The book ‘Zero to 60’ details Quinn’s journey from growing up in his native Scotland to becoming a multi-millionaire businessman and one of the most influential men in motor racing both sides of the Tasman.
Quinn and his family emigrated to Australia and then New Zealand in the early 1980s where they established the highly successful VIP Petfoods business, which was sold for more than $400 million (AUD) last year.
The passionate motor racing fan, who turns 60 next year, has since become intrinsically involved with the sport, purchasing the Australian GT Championship and the Aussie Racing Cars category.
He has since constructed the state-of-the-art Highlands Park circuit near Queenstown, New Zealand and acquired Auckland’s Hampton Downs track.
Quinn has collaborated with Kiwi freelance writer Robert Tighe to produce the autobiography.
‘Zero to 60’ will be officially launched at Quinn’s Highlands Park Circuit on August 4, with copies due to go on sale in Aldi stores across Australia later in the month.
