A heavy crash has marred the end of the final Improved Production race of the weekend at the Adelaide 500.
Brad Chick lost control of his Mazda 808 at Turn 8, hitting the outside wall before spearing across the circuit and making contact with the Mitsubishi Magna of Ian Stathan.
Both cars suffered substantial damage in the crash, though Chick and Stathan were able to walk away from the incident.
Ray Hislop (Ford Falcon) went on to win the race, which ended under safety car, the podium rounded out by Peter Ingram (Mazda RX7) and Andy Sarandis (Mitsubishi Evo 8).
