Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport will run both of its Holdens in SP Tools livery at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
The team has revealed the deal and its Adelaide liveries ahead of its pre-season test at Winton today, where it is sharing the track with Erebus Motorsport.
SP Tools had been a primary sponsor at the Holden Racing Team for the last two seasons, but has downsized its involvement in the factory squad this year.
Having run as a two-car team since 2013, Adelaide will mark the first time that LDM has fielded both cars in the same colours.
New recruit Andre Heimgartner will have his first drive of an LDM Holden today and says he’s encouraged by the appearance of the high profile sponsor.
“It’s really cool to have SP Tools on board,” he said.
“They are a familiar company that has been up and down pit lane in the past and for them to now be involved with LDM proves that this team is really moving forward.
“Hopefully we can represent SP Tools well on the track and I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.”
SP Tools also backed Peter Rullo’s LDM-run Lamborghini in the Bathurst 12 Hour earlier this month, which crashed out of the race on the opening lap with star driver Nick Percat at the wheel.
