Jack Le Brocq appears set to continue behind the wheel of the Tekno Autosports Holden at this weekend’s Pirtek Perth SuperNight after weeks of uncertainty around his future at the team.
The relationship between driver and team appeared to have soured after a difficult start to the season, which has seen last year’s top rookie lying 22nd in the standings.
However, Le Brocq’s name appeared on the on the official entry list for the visit to Western Australia last week although Webb declined to comment on his driver line-up when approached by Speedcafe.com in the lead-up to the event.
It is understood a resolution to the situation was expected on Monday but at the close of business there was no update from the team.
Le Brocq has since headed to Perth with the intention of racing, with team members also expecting the 26-year-old to be in the #19 car when Speedcafe.com sought comment from the squad in the paddock today.
Official confirmation is yet to come from the operation.
The Pirtek Perth SuperNight is due to begin on Thursday with opening practice scheduled for 1840 local time/2040 AEST.
